Why did you make this?
I made this as an outlet to reflect on my experience working as a product designer, music maker and to explore ideas for how to get better at both. I also want to celebrate/share the records I love and maybe even use it as a songwriting journal. If you’re into any of that, feel free to stick around!
My aim is to make posting on here a weekly practice.
Who are you?
I'm a product designer and musician currently based in Austin, TX, among other things. I’ve been in the edtech space for ~5 years now, and before that, was at a couple different agencies. I much prefer that in-house life. I’m an end-to-end designer with special interest in product strategy, content design, and user research.
I’ve been playing guitar and writing songs since I was a teenager and have been lucky to collaborate with some incredibly talented people. I’m actually working on an EP now with a dude named Chris Boosahda (Shakey Graves, Son Little, Caroline Rose, etc.) Going from fan to friend is the best.
Some of my stuff is available to check out on your preferred streamer. Just search my name. Historically, I’ve had trouble promoting my music but found that since I stopped playing shows regularly, I miss that feedback loop. I miss sharing it with others. That’s where this space comes in.
